SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT
At All About Food Limited we are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking. We pride ourselves on our values and on conducting our business in an ethical and sustainable way. We are doing what we can to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking is eliminated.
We are a marketer and distributor of food and hot beverage in the retail sector. We work with key brands in order to bring a delightfully different restaurant experience direct to consumers’ homes. Established in 1999, we are the Trusted Partner to the brands we work with, our registered office (or the ‘Tree House’ as we refer to it) is in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.
Our business is organised into key departments, including Procurement and Supply Chain, Technical, Category, Finance, Marketing, Sales, HR and Legal. These departments are supported by our Leadership Team, who lead the way by setting the direction of our business. Our Leadership Team and each of our departments plays an important role in ensuring that we are acting ethically and with integrity.
Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains include the sourcing of finished goods and their component parts, some of the key categories of goods we purchase and sell include sauces and coffee. Our goods are purchased from various countries but we mainly trade with suppliers in the UK, the Netherlands and South Africa.
Our Policies On Slavery and Human Trafficking
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.
We regularly review our Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy to ensure that it is fit for purpose.
Processes for Slavery and Human Trafficking
As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we have taken the following measures and have systems in place to:
- Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains (including a robust due diligence process when procuring new suppliers). Our Supplier Selection process ensures that all new suppliers are rigorously vetted.
- Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains, to support this we have carried out a Risk Assessment of our key suppliers and found that there were no major areas of concern. We will continue to review and update our Risk Assessment as required.
- Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains (via our Risk Assessment process referred to above).
- Build long term relationships with suppliers (where possible) and to ensure that our suppliers carry through our approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in their supply chains. Our Supplier Performance Management process supports this and enables us to actively manage and build strong relationships with our suppliers.
- Protect whistle blowers.
- Ensure that our recruitment processes are fair and ethical.
We have a zero-tolerance policy to slavery and human trafficking. We expect all those in our supply chain to comply with our values.
As part of our supplier approval process, we ask our suppliers to complete a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (“PPQ”) and Supplier Approval Questionnaire (“SAQ”). Our PPQ and SAQ include questions concerning modern slavery. We monitor PPQ and SAQ responses and actively liaise with suppliers to ensure compliance with our requirements.
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we have briefed our staff on key issues and all employees have been fully informed of the requirements of our policies.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the financial year ending 29 February 2020.
