Office Osmosis and Social Capital
Office Osmosis
‘The belief that we learn from observing and by being around each other”
- We believe people learn and gain a lot by watching and listening to other people – but, to do this effectively, we believe we need to be physically together which is why we are an office-based business.
- We believe physical proximity makes it easier to learn how to do something you haven’t done or experienced before, and makes it easier for people to offer and ask for help.
- We believe Office Osmosis is not just for junior people learning how to do their jobs; Office Osmosis also applies to managers as it enables them to understand the state, culture and climate of the individuals they manage and their team.
Social Capital
“Feeling of belonging and being part of something.”
-
In business, social capital refers to the importance of strong relationships, trust and connections between people.
- We believe that strong social capital creates a collaborative and supportive environment which builds trust and a sense of belonging, allowing us to be a high-performing team.
Our Office Culture
Mike’s perspective on Office Osmosis
“We don’t believe anyone has all the answers, best ideas or the best thinking. But we do believe collectively by working together, we get the best thinking and the best ideas.”
– Mike Taylor, Managing Director
