The role of Accounts Payable Manager is a full-time roles in a new exciting office location based in Central Manchester!
Your Primary Role
- Be the main point of contact for payables by building relationships with our suppliers
- Preparation of the weekly payment run
- Perform month end procedures
- Be accountable for the purchase to pay cycle, ensuring that the purchase ledger is kept up to date and that:
o All payments are accurately allocated on a daily basis
o Purchase invoices are posted accurately and in a timely manner
o Supplier reconciliations are performed as frequently as agreed with the Finance Manager
o Payments are made accurately and on time
o Disputes are dealt with in a timely manner - Ensure systems and processes are fit for purpose as we grow
We are looking for somebody who:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Resilience and robustness
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise with all functions and levels of seniority within AAF
- The ability to work under pressure and manage a number of deadlines
- A desire to constantly challenge and question
- Willing to be the lone voice and have the confidence to challenge
- Belief in teams and in team work
- Perseverance and the ability to handle set-backs confidently
- Desire for continuous improvement, in both work and personal life
