The Community Team organised some excellent activities for us all to take part in to celebrate Pride Month.
We had a raffle where all proceeds went to Just Like Us – a charity that makes schools safer, happier, and more welcoming places for all young people in the LGBT+ community.
We also had DAVID E. HULL-WATTERS (He/Him/His) join us virtually to give us background information on why Pride month is a celebration and the history of what the LGBTQ+ community has overcome, but also shone a light on the challenges that the community still face. He helped us to reflect on what we can do as individuals and as a team to make sure LGBTQ+ people feel included in society and the workplace and gave us tips on what we can all do to call out any injustices that we see.
